This section is meant to be my personal blog. I’ll probably write some personal thoughts here from time to time. However, I’m generally a quiet, no-nonsense kind of person, so it probably won’t be often. On the other hand, it’s possible that selected entries from old journals will be copied here at some point.
New Q&A Section
Posted
I’ve now created a Question and Answers section, where people can send in questions (anonymously if they want), and I can post answers. We’ll have to see how it works out, I suppose, but if you’re interested, go ahead and try it out…
Writing about bullshit
Posted
Not only am I getting very tired of all the bullshit in the world, some of it is in fact both destructive and deadly. So I recently got around to writing a new post called World of bullshit (in the Writings section), with some of my thoughts about where all this bullshit is coming from. But one thing might be useful to repeat here: “Do your research – not necessarily in the topics themselves, but at least in the sources.” After all, checking your sources takes a lot less time and energy than learning about everything under the sun, and is something everyone can do.
COVID-19 recovery, the shamanic way
Posted
So I’ve been a bit sick for the last 2-3 weeks. I believe I’ve been infected with this virus that’s going around, at least many of the symptoms match (also, I started getting them shortly after travelling), though I haven’t been tested because Switzerland doesn’t have the capacity to test everyone. Anyway, I seem to be recovering now, but this has been an interesting lesson on the forces of nature. The forces of nature can destroy you (if you don’t respect them), but they can also protect you (if you do respect them).
A new job
Posted
In an NRK interview a few years ago, it was said that I was not interested in working for companies like Google — and that instead, I was looking for “the meaning of life”. Now, however, I’ve accepted a job at Google anyway. I’ll try to explain why.
Legacy of Johan Kaaven
Posted
My sister and her boyfriend recently started a blog called Beneath Northern Lights, where they write about Sami culture, shamanism, and such. I’ve now written a guest article, Legacy of Johan Kaaven, there. For those interested, in it I explain exactly why I’ve been looking into shamanism. (And no, it wasn’t because I wanted to.) (Also, as a general disclaimer, me linking to their blog does not necessarily mean I agree with everything posted there.)
